A hockey memory game built from real NHL rosters

Name That Beauty is the recall side of NHL 82-0. Instead of drafting from a list, you get a franchise and an era, then have to name a real player who appeared for that team during that decade. The longer your streak gets, the deeper your hockey memory has to go.

The challenge rewards more than knowing the obvious stars. A run might start with an easy Original Six clue, then ask you for a 2000s depth forward, a 1990s expansion-era defenseman, or a goalie from a franchise that changed cities. It is built for fans who remember rosters, trades, brief stops, and cult favorites as much as Hall of Fame legends.

How the challenge works

• Each round gives you one NHL franchise and one decade.
• Any valid first-and-last player name from that team and era extends your streak.
• You get one skip per run, so timing matters when a franchise-era combo gets obscure.
• Players cannot be reused during the same run, which pushes you beyond the same familiar answers.
